On Friday 23rd October 2015 the VvEN (the Society of Dutch Ethicists) organizes the symposium “Hufters?! Ethiek van de etiquette”. During this symposium ethicists from different perspectives (inclusie police, psychology, journalism and philosophy) address the question what should be understood as ‘good manners’, why these good manners are challenged, whose social norms are at stake and whether there are valid (moral) reasons to value these social norms.
The symposium will take place at the police academy in Apeldoorn (Arnhemseweg 348, Apeldoorn). Subscription is possible by mail (ethiekinnederland@gmail.com) or via the website before 1st October 2015. The admission fee is 25 euro for non-members. Students and Members of the society do not have to pay admission fee.
